During an incredibly complicated and thought-provoking merger, two leading superannuation companies in Australia required a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to enhance their technological capabilities. Having just gone through a large cloud migration and with the upcoming merger date confirmed, the CTO needed to have a strong focus on leadership, digital, and people transformation, to improve efficiency and member services.

We conducted comprehensive briefings to understand the client’s specific needs, leveraging our deep insight into their organisational culture and strategic goals.

The Challenge

The superannuation industry in Australia is highly competitive, particularly for top tech talent. Our task was to find a CTO who could not only manage current technologies but also drive innovation and future growth. The challenge was intensified by the high volume of applications - over 500 - and the need for a tailored headhunting process to pinpoint the most suitable candidates. Additionally, ensuring alignment with the client's culture and strategic direction required a nuanced understanding and approach.

The Solution

We combined AI-driven recruitment tools with personalised search methods to manage the large volume of applications and identify top candidates. Our unique profiling and ranking system, utilising neuroscience, AI, and behavioural profiling, ensured we selected the best candidates for the role. This system allowed us to evaluate candidates beyond their resumes, assessing their potential fit with the client's culture and strategic needs. We presented a curated list of six candidates, ranked in order based on technical, leadership and behavioural skills, facilitated by our transparent communication and dedication to client care.
