Understand and operate cloud and container technology
Implement new features and improve the resilience and scalability of the existing cloud and container portfolio at The Client
Automate global operations and consider the complexities of distributed systems
Operate production OpenStack clouds and Kubernetes clusters for The Client and their clients
Collaborate on documentation, playbooks, policies, and procedures
Implement new features and improve the resilience and scalability of the existing cloud and container portfolio at The Client
Ensure service level agreements are met
Responsible for final time-critical escalations
Requirements
Engineering degree, preferably in computer science or software engineering
Experience using Python software development in large projects
Extensive Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies
Practical knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and firewalls
Hands-on experience administering Linux servers for personal use
Clear and effective communication in English over Email, IRC, and in person
Ability to troubleshoot from kernel to web
Self-driven and a team player when appropriate
Highly motivated, productive; and organized and capable of working from home full time
