Do you want to be part of a motivated sales team and help their drive towards being a leader in LPG business in South Africa?

Our client is a market leader across the LPG sector in South Africa and they are looking for a Territory sales consultant to be based in Durban with a focus on KwaZulu-Natal.

You will optimise the sales of LPG in the area by providing quality customer service and increasing customer satisfaction in a profitable and safe manner.

 

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

  • Achieving and exceeding individual business objectives / targets as well as supporting the team to achieve overall team objectives.

  • Ensuring that all projects and tasks assigned by management are met on time and in full.

  • Forecasting annual activity by estimating the new business that needs to be generated from existing customers in portfolio and new customers to achieve targets.

  • Ensuring compliance with the sales standards as communicated by the Line Manager.

  • Keeping contact with existing customers through visits to find out their requirements in order to drive LPG sales.

  • Calling on potential and new customers and contracting them.

  • Performing demonstrations with appliances and dealer outlets.

  • Ensure that the profitability and returns on investment are optimised by controlling expenditure.

  • Liaise with Customer Services to ensure the credit management of existing customers.

  • Required to develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the key customers / target markets to ensure that their needs are being met and their business is retained.

  • Forecasting sales targets and ensuring that they are met.

  • Understand the LPG market, competitors, customers etc.

  • Observe and comply with company policies/regulations that are applicable such as HSSE, MoA, Competition Law.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Grade 12 qualification, preferably with relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing or Technical).

Two years’ sales experience within LPG, fuel, lubricants or chemicals or completion of trainee program.

Working knowledge of CRM tools an advantage.

Excellent communication skills.

Customer centric individual.

Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
