Role Overview:
The Agile Coach provides the insight to implement an Agile methodology and processes in an existing environment. This includes the assessment of the current PMO processes and teams, development of an overall Agile change plan and the management of the transition. Agility is an essential element in the team’s vision to help us prepare for the future: your work is an important piece to connecting the dots between business and IT to open communication and accountability for both, clients and stakeholders involved. As a Manager in Agile Coaching, you lead Agile teams in projects to remain relevant in the digital world by providing stakeholders with clear visibility in results by responding rapidly to their needs. Your work will help your leadership effectively lead and manages its portfolio of developments and improvements to helping our clients become more efficient and make continuous progress towards becoming the leading digital innovator.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Develop and implement plans to establish an Agile capability for our client -Support translation of group strategy into objectives and Work plans -Monitor, Mentor, and lead teams to overcome roadblocks and challenges and to implement coordination -Works on complex issues within the Agile teams to coach them to better understand and align to internal and external business issues and best practices -Engage with your teams by holding frequent meetings and discussions to hold team members accountable for their responsibilities and to create dialogue about concerns -Have significant latitude in judgment and approach regarding strategic and operational objectives within the Agile team -be the central point of contract for solution delivery -Maintain growth in a fast-pace environment and to respond rapidly to frequently changing requirements -Work to innovate new or existing solutions with the client environment while simultaneously coaching the team towards agility
Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:
You will have strong analytical skills and a strong business acumen. You have the desire to work in a fast-past environment in which you are using analysis technology to make continuous improvements to both new and existing solutions.
Your technical skills may include: -Experience with using Agile and Scrum methologies -Strong analytical skills Your non-technical skills may include: -Being comfortable with giving and receiving constructive criticism by raising concerns to help guide improvements -Experience with and desire to learn about continuous improvements -A deep understanding of coaching different group dynamics and of managing the communication between groups -Clear and concise oral and written communication skills -Good time management -Strong business acumen.
Preferred Certifications:
Agile and or Scrum
Preferred Education Background:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university (Information Technology preferred)
Preferred Years of Work Experience:
You likely have 5 years of experience in assessing team performance and at least 2 years of management experience
Scope of Work:
Nature of Work: Creates and implements work plans for assigned projects, programs, and/or clients against established operational objectives; supports translation of group strategy into objectives and work plans. Scope of Work: Provides operational leadership for work efforts requiring significant coordination. Complexity: Complex problems that consistently span work domains, requiring considerable judgment of contextual factors. Discretion: Wide latitude in approach to work, including ability to reshape work plans, guided by professional best practices and domain expertise. Organizational Impact: Work efforts have significant impact on near- and medium-term Avanade and/or client operations. If client-facing, should contribute to client-relationship and sales outcomes. Supervision Received: Works independently, with occasional validation of work efforts against strategic and operational objectives. Significant latitude in judgment & approach. Supervision Provided: Mentors and manages work efforts of more junior colleagues and team members as required by various workstreams; may formally supervise work of project teams. If managing team(s) of more junior employees full-time, then refer to the People & Business Leadership leveling criteria. Often serves as Career Advisor. Knowledge Applied: Applies advanced knowledge of learned occupation / discipline and strong business operational acumen.
