Design architecture for advanced analytical capability.
Develop and maintain current state architecture, define target architecture and develop plans for transition.
Consult and effectively collaborate with business to assess business needs, to ensure architecture is optimal and to communicate benefits of the target state architecture.
Advise stakeholders during projects to ensure that solutions being deployed are aligned to IT strategy and architecture standards and leverage existing systems where possible.
Articulate and evaluate key options independent of technology for a given solution.
Identify and elaborate opportunities to standardise and reuse capabilities, processes and technology.
Provide architectural advice/approvals for new business cases and project/enhancement requests by examining against current and target architecture.
Provide an architectural governance function for the design and build of deliverables to ensure traceability of the build solution to the architectural principles and business solutions.
Manage Risks: Develop and apply knowledge of the Group’s risk appetite, policies & controls.
Partner effectively Group Decision Science, business stakeholders and with suppliers.
What will make you successful?
Significant design experience, including 3 – 5 years’ experience in advanced analytics.
Experience in designing data warehouses and developing advanced analytics capability.
Financial Services experience, in banking on in another industry such as retail/telecommunications.
Experience in publication and maintenance of standards & architecture; development of conceptual and applied architectures and alignment to business strategy.
Conceptual as well as technical capability.
Ability to work in an agile way within a fast-paced and dynamic work environment to tight deadlines.
Ability to innovate to push the boundaries of what technology can provide and also to keep things simple and standard.
IT qualification is desirable (not essential).
