The key responsibilities will be to develop and maintain Information Systems for the South African and International market.
Additional responsibilities may include:
o Translate operational requirements into system specifications
o Problem solving
o Contribute to the documentation of processes and procedures
o Perform system implementations, release upgrades and system optimizations
o Provide support for testing, training and implementation: Pre/Post GO LIVE and conversion activities
o Must be able to travel locally and internationally
Technical/Developer Skills (none of these skills are an absolute requirement – similar skillsets will be considered):
o Microsoft Dot Net platform (.Net, C#, ASP.Net, ASP.Net MVC)
o Ability to architect and design Relational Database Models in any of the leading platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Intersystems Cache, Postgress) or similar
Qualification and Experience:
o A completed 3year degree with majors in Information Systems or Computer Science or National Diploma in Information Systems
o 1-4 years’ solid programming experience in a structured programming environment
o Solid understanding and proven track record working within the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
o Experience in Agile programming methodologies would be an advantage
The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills and good interpersonal skills.
In addition to the aforementioned, the position demands the candidate to be teamplayer, work under pressure and strict time constraints, quickly grasp complex material, have strong personal drive, be highly organised with minimum direction and a great sense of ownership, logical, accurate, detail oriented, efficient, customer centric be accountable and operate in a dynamic environment with fluctuating demands.

o Must be able to accept accountability and responsibility for deliverables
o Must be able to cope with a steep learning curve in technologies for the health environment
o Decision Making – ability to make balanced and sound recommendations and decisions
o Able to perform well under pressure
o The candidate needs to be able to quickly grasp complex material and learn new development skills and business knowledge in a short timeframe
