Enterprise Applications Team Leader – Supply Chain Systems
Information Services
Purpose of Job
Team Lead of the Supply Systems Teams (SAP FnR, SAP WM systems, EP) by providing team leadership to the functional delivery and support for customer requests (incidents, problems, known errors, service requests, projects) with agreed schedules through analysis, configuration, design, testing and implementation of the Supply Chain Systems solutions.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
 Supply Chain Systems BUILD and RUN Service Delivery
o Lead the team who complete projects and deliver quality solutions in time, within budget and to agreed scope.
o Ensure projects and solution deliveries have the required documentation, testing plans and outputs
o Provide second level incident support to the business by analysing and clarifying the issue and resolving issues within the agreed service agreement (SLA)
o Analyse trends, establish the cause of repeated incidents and recommend resolutions (root cause) or procedural process changes
o Analyse trends, and ensure batch is efficient and optimized at all times
o Ensure consistency, completeness and clarity on own deliverables and their acceptance
o Ensuring that the Estimates To Completion (ETC’s) and target dates are updated and met
o Implementing quality gates to ensure Solution Architects and Senior Consultants evaluate and agree on all solutions being delivered
o Ensure that all potential risks that may impact on the performance and success of the department are identified, escalated and mitigated
o Assist in mitigating and discussing risk mitigation techniques during meetings
o Ensuring a world class standby service
 Knowledge Management & Transfer
o Knowledge creation and storage. e.g.: Document all new/changed processes/activities, configuration and other SDLC documentation and store on the knowledge management server
o Knowledge dissemination from team lead to team and within team
o Facilitating and enabling mentoring from the BUILD team to the RUN team
o Facilitating and enabling handovers from the BUILD team to the RUN team
 Process Optimization
o Ensure high quality work processes during all support/project cycles to ensure a high quality solution
o Create re-usable solutions and processes that can save time, efforts and result in better quality
o Improve and ensure business compliance to process and procedures
o Adhere to, support and improve change control, change request and document management policies
o No transports to PROD unless test cases are documented in the correct template and saved on SAM as per process
 Utilisation Management
o Ensure team utilization is managed and fairly distributed
 Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
o Always works to the required standard and consistently achieves work/project goals
o Monitors own and team’s workload and manages deliverables accordingly
o Providing word-class solutions with robust and innovative designs and delivery
o Verify requests for enhancements and projects and provide necessary SDLC documentation to support the process in delivering requests
o Ensure alignment across SAP Modules and non-SAP systems.
o Facilitating the discussion and resolution of design / programming / functional issues with the business/SDM as appropriate
o Manage team schedules and standby
o Reduction of standby hours through efficient batch management
o Reduce need to address bug fixes through better quality solution delivery

 Undergraduate / Post Graduate Qualification advantageous
 SAP Certifications are advantageous
Experience & Skills
 Computer literate: MS Office – Essential
 Minimum of 3 years SAP and other supply chain systems experience
 Minimum of 1 year working on medium to high profile projects or tasks
 Exposure to an IT customer service environment
 Understanding of SAP , Supply Chain, POS and RETAIL concepts
 Ability to identify problems and design solutions within the Supply Chain Systems space
 Good communication, analytical and presentation skills
