Job Description

Purpose of the position

The Finance Business Analyst role is responsible for building automated financial reporting and developing financial models while integrating multiple data sources. The role involves analysing business requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve processes and reporting, as well as providing training and knowledge transfer to staff members in all aspects across project and business as usual deliverables.

Key Accountabilities

In Your Role As Finance Business Analyst You Will

  • Empower the business to reach a “self-service” state for financial and business reporting needs,
  • Assist the finance team by automating & templatizing their financial reporting needs, ranging from building financial statements (Stand Alone and Consolidation) to monthly reconciliation templates,
  • Gather new reporting requirements from the business, perform feasibility analysis and build user friendly solutions,
  • Assist the business by tailoring reporting requests in a way that provides valuable information and drives actionable insights,
  • Develop and execute reporting training programs to increase system functionality awareness and empower users to make full use of the available tools and templates,
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and priorities effectively,
  • Create documents, presentations, and training material that can be used to establish buy-in and launch solutions successfully
  • Develop functional design documents and test plans
  • Work closely with the Development team

Essential Qualifications


  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Business or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications

  • Post grad qualification


Experience & skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in similar role (finance accounting, analysis & business intelligence)
  • Financial & Management Reporting: Standalone & Consolidation
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Project Financials
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Data relationship management – experienced at creating relational data tables
  • Power Query, Power BI, DAX and MCode
  • Query based report building using ERP AddIns for Excel


  • Experience working on SunFlow & SunSystems,
  • Report building using Infor BI Q&A
