Manager (IT Risk Assurance)

About the role

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients in the area systems and process assurance, including data analytics, IT general controls, application controls and as well be responsible for business development.

Essential skills and experience

• At least 6 years relevant experience
• 2 years at management level
• Engagement economics
• SSAE 16 SOC 1, SAP, Operating Systems, business processes, sarbanes oxley
• Internal and external audit experience

Required qualifications

• B Commerce Honours (Information Technology/Informatics/Information Systems/Internal Audit) OR
• CA(SA)
• CISA an added advantage

Responsibilities
• Develop our practice by targeting new clients;
• Assignment planning and budgeting;
• Documenting the results of the fieldwork;
• Discussions with the client during the scoping and feedback sessions;
• Identify weaknesses in procedures, systems and internal controls;
• Review of files;
• Utilisation and development of staff;
• Supervise and coach staff members;
• Monitor costs against budget;
• Assist in the overall management of the department, i.e. staff assignments on jobs, scheduling of assignments, administration functions;
• Manage WIP and debtors;
• Compliance with company Methodology.
