PeopleSoft Analyst Programmer

We have a vacancy for a Specialist PeopleSoft Analyst Programmer in the ICT Services Centre who will analyse, develop and support PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as part of ICT solutions in support of business outcomes. The incumbent will assess and implement the relevant governance and regulatory requirement to ensure that the risks associated with non-compliance are mitigated. This position is based in Pretoria.

Key responsibilities:

 Review, maintain, configure, customise, and develop PeopleSoft Application components in order to provide value-adding application solutions and improve its effectiveness;
 Provide a quality and auditable service to customers by ensuring that the standard frameworks and procedures are adhered to in all coding and change management;
 Research new releases, bundles, and fixes in PeopleSoft technologies to ensure solution fit, security permissions, privileges, standards and guidelines have been correctly implemented in all environments;
 Initiate and lead new solutions design, development, implementation and integration, according to vendor and best practice standards in order to meet the operational systems requirements of customers;
 Review and develop ICT ERP standards, procedures and best practices, in collaboration with the DBA to ensure the availability, accessibility and utilization of PeopleSoft ERP Applications in line with business needs;
 Develop and maintain schematics and other documentation of PeopleSoft ERP applications, systems architectures and administration processes;
 Manage performance of PeopleSoft ERP Applications in line with business requirements and continuously look for ways to improve and optimise code performance;
 Research and develop new coding methodologies that will culminate in solutions best fit-for-purpose which will ensure that client functional and performance requirements are best met.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

 A bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field with at least seven years experience;
 Working knowledge of ImageNow and in-depth technical knowledge of PeopleCode and architechure;
 Experience in working together with multiple teams during the design, engineering, implementation and operations phases;
 Advanced troubleshooting skills on application inter-dependencies and the ability to design, engineer, implement and maintain PeopleCode;
 In-depth technical knowledge of interfaces with applications, web services and middleware;
 Good communication and documentation skills;
 A valid driver’s license is a requirement for operational purposes;
