Introduction
The Department
Product Development creates and innovates the software needed to run our global online B2C
gaming operations, including systems for Customer Service, Marketing, CRM, brand website
development, DWH/BI, web analytics and the supporting frameworks and tools for one of the
largest global online gaming groups. Our dynamic environment is fast paced, using Agile and selforganizing
principles for our teams to deliver the highest quality new products.
Purpose of Job
The Development Manager provides management, leadership and vision to teams of software
developers, architects, QAs, Product Owners and Scrum Masters working across a variety of crossfunctional
Agile Product teams.
Working within a dynamic Agile/Scrum environment, as the Development Manager, you will work
closely with the Heads of Development, Product, QA and Agile Delivery and be instrumental in the
design, development and delivery of our products.
It is vital for this role you have previously managed in a large delivery environment, have a deep
understanding of Agile development methods and have led the delivery of software solutions.

Duties will include but may not be limited to:
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
 Ensure that the software created is properly architected and developed in line with existing and
future technologies
 Drive continuous improvements in code quality, processes, architecture and organization within
the development team
 Drive innovative technical solutions in the areas of architecture, integration, tools, performance
optimization, metrics and dashboards
 Responsible for the overall enterprise architecture and design
 Accountable for managing performance and talent development, including recruitment,
retention and succession plans
 Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead teams to execute the product
vision and strategy
 Design and implement rigorous software development processes and oversee the development,
testing, release, and maintenance of all software products
 Tracking, reporting and communicating product development team performance, progress and
results

Requirements
Essential Criteria:
 Significant software development management experience.
 Extensive development experience – preferably in .Net / Microsoft technologies.
 Expert understanding and knowledge of Test Driven Development methodologies.
 Strong understanding of Agile Development Methodologies, especially Scrum.
 Experience working in a medium / large scale agile product development team.
 Deep understanding of technology.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Graduate degree in Computer Science.
