Job Description

About you:
You will be a quality-focused self-starter who can hit the ground running and test projects you’ve never seen before. You will be thorough in your approach and will leave no stone unturned in your quest for bugs. You will be able to effectively work as part of a team, being self-motivated and committed to providing quality software.
Key responsibilities:
  • Prepare test plans prior to starting testing.
  • Write manual test scripts, where required.
  • Perform manual testing.
  • Liaise with Client QA team for joint integration testing.
  • Host and lead UAT kick-off calls (conference calls). Taking the UAT testers through the test scenario’s
  • Preparation of test data definitions and test data
  • Report issues with clear descriptions that enable developers to reproduce the issues you report. Screenshots will be included where necessary.
  • Re-test resolved issues and reopen anything that isn’t actually resolved.
  • Communicate results to the project manager or account manager.
  • Assist with issue diagnosis – helping to troubleshoot issues and develop client feedback into actionable bug reports.
  • Identify issues that should have been prevented prior to testing.
  • Develop innovative approaches
  • Strive to continuously improve processes
  • Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
  • Minimum 2 years testing experience
  • Experience in working on large integrated systems
  • Experience with Test Automation tools such as Selenium
  • Strong analytical skills – you should be able to learn new software quickly.
  • Knowledge of issue tracking systems such as Jira.
  • Knowledge of different types of testing and when to use them (e.g. exploratory, functional, cross-browser, regression, end to end, security, usability).
  • Participated in production implementation verification and being accountable for validating system quality
  • Working knowledge of QA methodology, testing techniques and approaches.
  • Managing and Picking up client support queries
  • Diagnosis of Query (Bug vs. Enhancement)
  • Complete non Development Requests (Data Request, User Creation, Report)
  • Liaise with Project Manager on Next Release
  • Create Development Tickets for Queries where necessary
  • When release is ready test against reported bugs (Internal Testing before build to live)
  • When release is set live test all related Tickets and close
  • Technical background desired.
  • ISEB/ISTQB certified

  • Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple clients
  • Ability to escalate issues/problems to PM as and when necessary
