Job Description

Qualification: Technical Diploma or Mechanical Engineering Degree (N6 or Btech) 

Personality is key
* Communication as will be engaging with clients 
* Self starter & self driven, this is a hunter role
* 1 - 2 years experience technical experience selling to Engineers within the petrochemical industry (INFRASTRUCTURE/DEPOT/GANTRY, TRUCK MARKET/LOAD)
* Find out what their hobbies are (Golf or Cycling) 
* Extensive travelling (to Secunda/ Nelspruit/ Durban, Bloemfontein, Eastern Cape etc) 

• A driven individual that is seeking a new challenging career in the petrochemical sales market in SA
• Dedicated and hardworking individual that is willing to give their best at all times to benefit the company
• Position is specific to technical sales (a technical background would be preferable)
     o Candidate will need to understand a basic mechanical layout drawing
     o Need to continuously expand product knowledge
     o Have a general understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Need to be computer literate and efficient in Microsoft Word / Excel / Office  
• Must have general understanding of petroleum industry
• Sales background with track record is an advantage.
• Must be a self-starter (go getter).
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must have own reliable transport
• Any sales or technical qualification is an advantage and should be highlighted 

Duties will include: 
1. Maintain a comprehensive and up to date customer list for the assigned area  
2. Ensure that key customers are comprehensively serviced and visited (Including occasional entertainment)
3. Keep management informed of market changes and trends, which may affect our business, especially with regard to our competitors
4. Manage customer relations with regards to customers return goods or credit and or repairs. Making sure that the customer receives appropriate feedback and that a professional customer experience is maintained at all times
5. Ensure that the company is included in all tenders and that customer vendors lists are continuously updated to include the company
6. Assist in receiving, compiling and submitting tenders
7. Liaising with technical department on a continuous basis for projects
