Job Description

  • Install new and manage existing internal systems in accordance with standards and project or operational requirements
  • Internal systems administration, including:
  • Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, managing group memberships, etc.
  • Training users on such systems
  • Responsible for systems documentation, such as configuration, training documentation, systems policies, etc.
  • Responsible for corporate governance compliance of the various systems (security, auditing, access control, change management, etc).
  • Management of system updates
  • Management of content in systems such as the intranet system
  • Troubleshooting reported issues with internal systems
  • Project management of the adoption of the various internal systems & communications platforms
  • Develop and maintain installation, configuration and maintenance procedures
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards
  • Research and recommend innovative approaches for administration tasks
  • Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Provide support per request from various functional areas
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Coordinate and manage relations with external systems suppliers
  • Manage internal systems support desk and supervise junior staff
  • Must have an IT Qualification/Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in performing systems administration duties in the following areas:
  • Active Directory
  • Windows Servers
  • Office 365
  • Microsoft Sharepoint
  • Linux
  • IaaS (AWS, Google)
  • Support desk supervision
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Knowledge of system security
