Our client is looking for an SEO specialist to join their growing in-house marketing team.  The ideal candidate will be able to perform in-depth SEO technical audits; present transparent, understandable recommendations to their clients and all types of stakeholders and stay on top of SEO trends to help clients stay competitive well into the future.

Key responsibilities
  • Track, report and analyse website analytics
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
  • Research and analyse competitor advertising links
  • Develop and implement link building strategy if and when required
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on a newly developed code 
  • Work with copy writing and the marketing team to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
  • Define and implement search marketing strategies and activities
  • Assess websites and tools to recommend keywords, link strategies, and web analytics
 
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
  • Relevant qualification in marketing and technical discipline
  • Proven SEO experience 
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, webmaster tools, rank tracker, heat maps, etc.)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Measure the success of SEO campaigns with use of web analytics and SEO 
  • Prepare executive-ready reporting of SEO campaign performance 
  • Three to five years of relevant SEO experience 
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Sound technical understanding of how search engines, web servers and user agents work 
  • Up-to-date understanding of organic search trends, including search engine algorithm changes, the latest tools and technologies 
  • Excellent presentation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent reporting skills a definite requirement

Remuneration:
Salary negotiable based on experience. Budget capped at R360 000 p/a
Medical Aid contribution of up to R1000 (Included in CTC)
RA contribution (Included in CTC)
