Job Description

Deliverables:

  • Support Actuarial Manager: Strategic Projects to liaise with the relevant stakeholders to coordinate the technical actuarial deliverables into strategic projects
  • Scope project work and develop project plans, as well as prepare documentation for meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Liaise with the Central Actuarial Reporting and Capital teams, as well as segment actuarial teams regarding inputs into the project deliverables
  • Perform actuarial calculations and write documents required for various strategic projects. This will involve understanding the different bases, and will require in-depth technical knowledge of actuarial reporting (e.g. MCEV, SAM, capital allocation etc.)
  • Assist in the development of the framework for segments including principles and guidelines, standards for methodology changes and the engagement model
  • Assist in the development of a framework that defines the materiality limits for the different metrics 
  • Produce content for the Insurance Committee as and when required


Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Qualified actuary or actuarial student with 14 exam credits and at least six years’ experience in the life insurance industry
  • In-depth knowledge and experience on IFRS17
  • Life insurance actuarial finance experience is required
  • Capital modelling/economic capital experience preferable
  • Technically sound, able to learn new concepts quickly
  • Experience of programme/project teams for finance
  • Transformation initiatives will be an advantage
