This role will serve as a business intelligence, analytics & reporting specialist, responsible for integrating and analysing data from multiple sources. This role requires one to capture analytical and reporting requirements, perform source data analysis, develop the semantic layer and metadata, and create effective visualisation and data intelligence services - reports, dashboards, and infographics and data models. In addition this role will create and deliver end-user training and will provide support to the organisation and its clients. This role requires the capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and deploy in accordance to best practice BI methodologies.
1. Development and Delivery
Use MS SQL, Tableau and any other identified tool sets to create, support and manage dashboards, reports and BI cubes/data sets for customers and internal business units.
Responsible for consulting with internal clients on business needs, to understands the business questions that users are trying to get answered and translates them into analytics and reporting requirements.
Ensure quality checks throughout profiling source system data, identifies data anomalies and proposes data cleansing rules.
Interfaces with internal clients to ensure successful delivery of client reporting.
Defines and captures Metadata and rules associated with BI processes.
Identifies user profiles and designs report delivery environment to meet user’s needs.
Develops Semantic layer or BI objects for end users.
Creates reports and report templates, performance dashboards and Adhoc analysis environments.
Develops BI tool training and documentation.
Trains users in using the toolset and data. Implements and supports complex BI processes.
Adapts BI processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.
Cultivates an ongoing partnership with power users in the business, maintaining knowledge of business operations, strategies, information requirements, and priorities.
Initiate process changes and enhancements where necessary and see to successful implementation.

Full understanding and sound knowledge of Tableau software solutions, and SQL language to ensure that the technical requirements are in line with best practice

5. Problem Solving

Bachelor's degree in Business/IT/Science preferred
Specific experience using Tableau Server and Desktop v8.0 and above essential.
Proficient with Microsoft SQL (T-SQL) – at least 3 years’ experience
3-5 years’ experience in BI, MIS, data warehousing and reporting
3-5 years’ experience in developing data models, frameworks and reports
Experience in managing large volumes of data from different sources
Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Power BI preferred.
Experience in Business Analysis and Consulting preferred
Exposure to financial or credit industry advantageous.
Experience in Power BI advantageous.
