TECHNICAL MANAGER PBX TELECOMS/ VOICE
The ideal person must be a strategic/analytical thinker who is able to understand situations, identify patterns and provide effective problem solving. Must be able to work in an environment that requires and encourages constant learning. Someone who takes responsibility of their work and will achieve the set out requirements. This individual will be managing a team of 14 people that include installation, support and service coordinators.
Panasonic PABX systems knowledge and experience working on these systems
Have got 2-4 years Technical Management experience
Strong networking background and an understanding of VoIP and TDM environments
Solid understanding of protocols including SIP,RTP, as well as familiar with the codes used for encoding voice traffic in IP network
Troubleshooting and resolving common VoIP problems – bad call quality, dropped call, call flow issues, etc.
Offering technical assistance to technicians/engineers as well as clients
Investigating and resolving faults on Hosted PBX, Patton gateways, DSL Routers, Cisco routers, switches and other related telecoms equipmentProviding technical reports on faults and ensuring tickets are up to date.
Advantage will be given to candidates who have the following:
o IT Qualifications
o Cisco qualifications
o Proven track record of working with Hosted PBX environments, IP Phones, Vibe, Mikrotiks and Quintum gateways, Panasonic systems
o Knowledge of VoIP, Fiber
o Intimate knowledge of SIP and SIP response codes
o Knowledge of Patton Gateways
