Main Purpose of the Job:
Technical Pre-Sales Specialist for the Customer Experience Management BU for Salesforce
Deep technical knowledge of the CRM products or an equivalent competitive solution required.
The Technical Pre-Sales Specialist is responsible for leading all technical aspects of a Salesforce sales campaign in partnership with the other BUS Verticals and sales staff, applies significant experience, in-depth knowledge, practical skills, innovative thinking and vision pertaining to a specific domain(s) in promoting and selling Salesforce products, solutions, applications and services while helping customers accomplish their business objectives, address their business issues and solve business problems.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Supports the sales team and leads the technical aspect of the selling process including the developing and conducting of professional product presentations and demonstrations to generate sales and meet revenue objectives. Present solutions as advantages and benefits for customers. Deliver both customized and standard technical demos to specifically address customer needs. Provide technical presentations on prospects site, at trade shows and events. Presentations and demonstrations, may be in-person, web-based, or via other mechanisms.
Works closely with sales representatives that support both direct sales and reseller sales channels. Partner with sales representatives to assist in the development, management and execution on strategies and tactics for closing business.
Communicate enthusiastically product features and benefits in pre-sales situations. Convey a positive message to accounts and individuals.
Identify areas of opportunity for customer process improvement.
Develop relationships and become the trusted advisor of customers and members of the Salesforce sales force involved with the opportunity
Work with Salesforce Key Account Exec to ensure to open new opportunities
Perform feasibility studies to fulfill customer requirements
Share best practices, competitive information, and innovation within the sales organization, product divisions, and technical sales organization. Interact and communicate with the various business units. Provide answers and knowledge, share technical product and integration information pertaining to Salesforce or competitor products.
Key Deliverables / Critical Deliverables
Serve as the Customer Relations Management (CRM) Salesforce Pre Sales expert
Collaborate with the teams in conducting the following: feature and system enhancement requests; report generation requests; business alignment/needs.
Ability to lead and contribute to all business and technical solutions of SFDC
Solution design of Salesforce.com platform currently supporting multiple business units
Analyze data and advise on business data updates/corrections
Drive process improvement and release strategy
Design and assist in execution of data migration strategy
Agility and Innovation
Generate reports to analyze Salesforce.com data; create and analyze data using the Salesforce.com to strategically analyze campaigns, leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities, forecasts, cases, solutions, and documents
Generate bi-monthly reports in SFDC to monitor duplicate accounts and contacts; ensure that the weekly data in SFDC is correct, accurate and relevant
Relationships and People
Serve as support for the SF Administrator.
Assist SF Administrator with the on-boarding of new user
Collaborate cooperatively with cross functional teams, such as Telco, Financial Services and Public Sector
Serve as the primary gate keeper for the product listing as reported in SFDC
3+ years professional experience in the IT industry
Familiar with at least one of the leading CRM software applications, such as Salesforce, Microsoft CRM etc.
Understanding of customer workflows, processes and requirements around CRM
Firm knowledge of the CRM Industry
Knowledge of the competitive landscape in the CRM market and ability to position different solutions
Solid foundation of solution selling skills
Ability to work under pressure and team work
Good communication skills
Certified Salesfoce.com ADM 201 and DEV 401 highly desired but not required
Other features of the task
Product demonstrations against large auditoriums or critical discussions with professionals do not constitute a stress situation for the candidate, but an appreciated professional challenge.
The position will require travel activity mainly in South Africa and could be up to 60% of working time.
