South Africa’s leading Ecommerce fashion company, is looking for a Product Owner to be part of providing world class Ecommerce experiences to it’s customers
 
Reporting to the Head of Product: Platforms, you will be embedded in a highly motivated team that owns and builds the core Ecommerce technology and Business Intelligence platforms key to the growth of the company. This is a highly visible, highly impactful position that is all about making a difference within the business daily.
 
Minimum Requirements
 
• 5+ years hands-on software development/engineering & SQL experience
• Previous role in a Product Manager / Product Owner position
• Demonstrated experience delivering results in roles with progressively increasing responsibility
• Experience in communicating business requirements to a development team
• Experience with building internet based technology, ideally in the Ecommerce industry

Duties & Responsibilities
 
• Ownership of various technology and Business Intelligence platforms that make up the Ecommerce ecosystem within Spree
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements for new products and changes to existing products and communicate these requirements to the Engineering and Business Intelligence teams
• Project management of projects that involve multiple stakeholders, from roadmap creation to stakeholder expectation management
• Communicate to a wide audience of customers when changes to the systems are made
• Work closely with the Engineering team to fully understand the capabilities of the different technology platforms
• Own the backlog of work that the Engineering and Business Intelligence teams need to complete, fiercely defending the agreed upon priorities
• Analyse data to understand the root cause of problems, and direct the necessary resources to resolve them
• Articulate (and support) the business rationale behind initiatives
