On May 25, 2018, the European Union (EU) will begin to enforce the GDPR. The GDPR has been designed in compliance with data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU and non-EU citizens’ data privacy and to restructure the way organisations across the region approach data privacy.
PeopleSolved conducts business within various areas of the European Union (EU), therefore, regulation in terms of processing and holding the personal information of data subjects residing and shared within this region, regardless of the company’s location, is required. The GDPR regulates the types of personal information that can be collected from individuals residing and shared within the EU region, how the personal information may be processed, stored, shared and destroyed. These are the minimum requirements which guide the way in which PeopleSolved should collect, process, store and destroy personal information.
Transparency is one of the key values that PeopleSolved is known for and therefore we will do our utmost to ensure professionalism during each step of the recruitment process in accordance with the regulations of the European Union.
With the largest research team in South Africa, PeopleSolved seeks to comply with the regulations as set out in the GDPR while continuing to deliver fast and effective service. We are committed to being transparent about the nature of the personal information that is collected and processed and have developed and implemented procedures to ensure that all personal information is processed and stored in a secure manner.
PeopleSolved collects various types of personal information for the purposes of matching you to your job specific requirements. Personal information includes all information as per your CV and any other financial information. Consent is obtained from you and saved in your online profile. Only the data that is needed for job specific reasons are requested. Reasonable steps are taken to verify that your personal information is valid and true.
The online platform where all your personal information is stored is secure. All undue activity on the system is reported immediately. PeopleSolved will notify all parties and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach. Those processing your personal information do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
You have the right to access your personal data to see what data is held and how it is being processed. Once your profile is registered you may log into your online profile to access the “Subject Access Request” tab. The request can take up to 30 calendar days to process. Once the request has been submitted, you have the option to cancel this request any time during the 30-calendar day period. PeopleSolved will review the request in line with the specifications as set out by the GDPR and action accordingly.
You have the right to request that your personal data be deleted or removed if it is no longer needed, consent is withdrawn, the data was unlawfully processed or to comply with a legal obligation. You may log into your online profile to access the “Right To Be Forgotten” tab. The request can take up to 30 calendar days to process. Once the request has been submitted, you have the option to cancel this request any time during the 30-calendar day period. PeopleSolved will review the request in line with the specifications as set out by the GDPR and action accordingly.

You may also be required to choose a password and a user name. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. However, you could be held liable for losses incurred by us or another party due to someone else using your account or password. You may not use anyone else’s account at any time, without the permission of the account holder.
